2018 Electric Fun Fly
THIRD ANNUAL MARCH 31, 2018
R/SEA HAWKS PARK 1030 NW 28th St,
The 2018 (3rd Annual) Cape Electric Fun Fly (C.E.F.F.) is in the books as a huge success (60 Pilots registered and flying). This is not because of us but because of all the volunteers who helped on the flight line, in the pits, on the food and behind the camera (some photos above), plus the support of the board and officers.
Almost every time we checked we had 4 flying and a couple more in line. At the 2016 event we had 35 pilots. Last year’s total was 47 — and this year was 60 (22% increase from last year).
The weather was a factor with the threat of rain. This added some tension with dark clouds and then blue sky.
Special thanks must go to the vendors for their support with prizes for the registered pilots’ drawing. Two vendors set up with show specials and we thank K&K hobby from Port Charlotte for their donation of T-shirts and an ARF electric kit. Also Heads up RC from Ocala who had motors, ESC’s and many unique items. They donated a mini-bipe ARF with motor, ESC & servos etc. They also did a great job in supporting us with our flyer on their blog and Face Book (thank you Jodi). Skyshark Hobby (right here in Cape Coral) donated a raffle plane, an ARF powered glider built and ready to fly. Thanks to Mike and Angie. Many other suppliers came thru to include Balsa USA, AMA, Bob Smith (CA glue), Tower Hobby and Sig.
In closing, many thanks to all for the great showing and the enthusiastic energy put into the event.
